The Maybank Tower (Malay: Menara Maybank) is a major skyscraper and landmark in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Located near Puduraya on the eastern fringe of the old Kuala Lumpur city centre, the tower is the headquarters of Maybank, and houses the Maybank Numismatic Museum.

The floor plan of the tower consists of two square-based blocks that interlock each other at one of their corners. Each of the two block features a roof and lower base that slant at a direction opposite its other block, while the mid-section stands in a perpendicular angle. The main access points of the tower are at the two corners of the structure that feature a space formed from the combination of the structure’s two blocks, covered by tiered triangular roofs.

The tower was designed by Hijjas Kasturi Associates, an architectural firm credited for the design of numerous modern skyscrapers in Kuala Lumpur and surrounding areas since 1978. The tower’s design was selected from an architectural design competition held in 1979.

Menara Telekom (or Menara TM) is the headquarters of Telekom Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur.

It is 310m (1,017ft), has 55 floors, and shaped to represent a sprouting "bamboo shoot". It is located along the Federal Highway, Sprint Expressway and Jalan Pantai Baru and is served by the Rapid KL Kerinchi LRT station. It was designed by Hijjas Kasturi Associates and was constructed between 1998 and 2001 by PECD Berhad. The complex also includes a theatre able to seat a 2,500 audience, a large prayer hall (surau) and a sports facility. A unique feature of the tower is its 22 open skygardens alternating every three floors. The office floors are separated into north and south wings served by express double-deck elevators.

Near the building is Kerinchi Pylon, the tallest electricity pylon in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.

Menara Telekom also houses several well-known tenants which are located between the 16th and 55th floors, namely DaimlerChrysler, Hapag-Lloyd, Unilever, Henkel Malaysia, Penerbangan Malaysia Berhad, Takaful Nasional and the IT Department of Tenaga Nasional.

Putrajaya is located on a stretch of Malaysia between Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Lumpur International Airport. It will eventually be the most accessible city in Malaysia, surrounded by expressways, urban highways and railways.
Tagged “The Garden City” because of its preservation of existing eco features and plans to set aside a third of its area for lush greenery, gardens and parks.

The key issue in the design was the relationship to the waterfront. The buildings on the boulevard reinforce the alignment of the boulevard but to enhance the visual corridors and links between the boulevard and the lakefront the architects broke the massing into smaller components of varying heights. The buildings are unified by tropical roof gardens.

Transparent and light layered buildings along the waterfront will create a sense of place that is uniquely tropical and reinforces Putrajaya as the garden city.

Sustainable strategies like terraces, sunshades, natural ventilation and integrated green space, between the buildings, are included in the design.
A light brise-soleil skin connected to the vertical pillars protects each unit and controls the amount of daylight coming in without compromising the expansive lake views.

To bring life to the area, public activities such as cafés, restaurants, fashion boutique will be located at ground and mezzanine levels. Offices, boutique hotels, and apartments will also help create a lively and vibrant environment.

Expected completion: 2010
